A year ago we left for Bonaire and embarked on a great adventure and life-changing event, not knowing what awaited us. It was not always easy and certainly very intense and difficult in the beginning… In six months we transformed an old neighborhood supermarket into a house and B&B with five beautiful apartments. Fortunately, we have put the intense renovation phase behind us and we have been receiving very nice and very satisfied guests at Casa Trankilo since September. We are very happy and proud that we have come this far with our family.
Complete renovation
The building has undergone an absolute metamorphosis. We replaced all the windows, built verandas, demolished and rebuilt walls, in short; except for the walls and roof, Joke`s mini market has been completely renovated in every respect. We have retained the beautiful tropical plants in the garden, cut away many weeds and replaced the mini pond with the lovely cooling swimming pool.
